Choose an open Polymarket outcome, such as the Yes side of “Will X happen?”, then name your coin and launch it. Launching is free apart from Robinhood Chain gas, and you can make the first buy yourself.
Creators earn 0.7% of every trade, forever.
02
Trade the odds
Every coin trades against a pToken: a 1:1 claim on a real outcome share Polypad holds on Polymarket. So its price moves with buying and selling and with the live odds. Coins start on a bonding curve at about $2.4k market cap.
1% per trade: 70% to the creator, 30% to Polypad.
03
Graduate, then resolve
At about $6k raised the curve sells out and the coin moves into a Uniswap v4 pool in the same transaction, liquidity locked. Sells always work; buys pause from the market’s end date until it resolves. If the outcome wins its pToken is worth $1 and trading carries on both ways. If it loses, the backing is worth $0 and only sells remain.
Pay and receive USDG, with a 0.25% conversion spread.
Put a coin on your conviction
Launching takes one transaction and costs only gas. The curve, the graduation into Uniswap v4 and the fee split are set up for you, and the coin follows the market, whichever way it breaks.
Launching your own coin on a Polymarket outcome: free, in one transaction.
Anyone can launch a coin. It costs nothing but network gas, takes one transaction, and the coin is tradable the moment it lands. As its creator you earn a share of every trade for the life of the coin.
Pick an outcome. Browse Markets or search from the Launch page, and pick the side your coin is about: YES or NO, or one team in a game. Your coin trades against shares of that outcome, so if it doesn’t happen, the coin’s backing is worth $0.
Name it. A name, a ticker, an image (PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP, up to 1 MB), and optionally a description and links to X, Telegram and a website.
Optionally, make the first buy. You can buy your own coin straight after launch, before anyone else, at the curve’s opening price.
Launch. Confirm in your wallet. The coin and its bonding curve are deployed, and its page goes live.
Polymarket lists hundreds of thousands of markets, and most are too thin or too short-lived to back a coin. A market is open for launches when, at the latest check:
Rule
Requirement
Liquidity
At least $10,000 on Polymarket
Spread
At most 2¢ between the best bid and ask
Time left
At least 48 hours before the market ends
Still open
The outcome trades between 3¢ and 97¢
Kind
Not a minutes-long “up or down” market
The list is refreshed every few minutes, so new markets appear on their own. A market that stops meeting the rules closes to new launches only: coins already on it keep trading, and selling always works.
Your coin, an ERC-20 with 1,000,000,000 supply and 18 decimals, minted entirely into its curve. There is no team allocation and nothing is minted to the creator.
Its bonding curve, which holds the coins and sells them for shares, and graduates the coin into a Uniswap v4 pool when it sells out.
The outcome’s pToken, if yours is the first coin on that outcome. Every later coin on the same outcome shares it.
The coin, its curve and the pToken are verified on Sourcify within minutes, so anyone can read their source on the explorer. The coin’s fees are fixed at launch and cannot be changed afterwards, by you or by Polypad.
Half of the coin’s trading fee goes to its creator side: 0.7% of every trade on the curve and 0.5% in the pool after graduation, from anyone, on any app, for as long as the coin trades. Fees are paid in the outcome’s shares, so they are worth what the outcome is worth.
At launch you can also pass part of that, from 0% to 100%, to everyone holding the coin, as hourly rewards. The choice is permanent, so holders can count on it. Launches from the site keep the whole creator side for the creator today; a holder share can be set when launching through the API. Details in Fees and rewards.
Names are not unique. Anyone can launch a coin with the same name, ticker and image as yours. A coin is identified by its address; the site always shows the creator and the address, and so should you when you share it.
The name, ticker, image and links cannot be changed after launch. They are stored by their content’s hash, so the link written on chain always means the same thing.
Limits on chain: a name of up to 64 bytes and a ticker of up to 16. The site shows tickers of 1 to 10 letters, digits or $.
Launching a coin on a market does not make you part of that market or its outcome. Do not present your coin as official, endorsed, or connected to the people, teams or organisations in the question.
