Choose an open Polymarket outcome, such as the Yes side of “Will X happen?”, then name your coin and launch it. Launching is free apart from Robinhood Chain gas, and you can make the first buy yourself.

02
Trade the odds
Every coin trades against a pToken: a 1:1 claim on a real outcome share Polypad holds on Polymarket. So its price moves with buying and selling and with the live odds. Coins start on a bonding curve at about $2.4k market cap.
1% per trade: 70% to the creator, 30% to Polypad.
03
Graduate, then resolve
At about $6k raised the curve sells out and the coin moves into a Uniswap v4 pool in the same transaction, liquidity locked. Sells always work; buys pause from the market’s end date until it resolves. If the outcome wins its pToken is worth $1 and trading carries on both ways. If it loses, the backing is worth $0 and only sells remain.

Put a coin on your conviction
Launching takes one transaction and costs only gas. The curve, the graduation into Uniswap v4 and the fee split are set up for you, and the coin follows the market, whichever way it breaks.
What happens to a coin when its market ends, resolves, or is disputed.
Polypad does not decide outcomes. Every coin follows its Polymarket market, and Polymarket’s result is final for Polypad too: the payout Polypad uses is the one Polymarket’s own contracts pay on Polygon.
A coin never stops trading for a date. Buying waits only in the hour or so between Polymarket closing the market and Polypad’s settlement taking effect:

Someone proposes the answer through UMA, Polymarket’s resolution system; a challenge window of about 2 hours starts.

If a proposed result is challenged, Polymarket’s market goes to UMA’s dispute process, and the final answer can take a few days. Nothing on Polypad is settled meanwhile: the market stays unsettled until Polymarket records a payout on Polygon, and holders can keep selling at the live price the whole time.
Some markets resolve to a split, for example 50/50 when Polymarket declares an unclear result. Polypad pays whatever Polymarket pays: a share worth 50¢ in that case.
The payout is read from Polymarket’s contracts on Polygon, after checking it belongs to the right market and outcome.
It takes effect one hour after it is recorded. Within that hour Polypad can cancel a wrong payout, and an independent monitor compares every recorded payout against Polygon.
Once in effect, a settlement is final and cannot be changed by anyone.
Once a market is effectively decided, waiting hours for the official result helps nobody. When a market is past its end date, a result has been proposed through UMA, and Polymarket’s buyers are paying 99¢ or more with enough depth to buy every share behind its coins, held for five minutes, the desk starts selling its shares early and moves the dollars to the float. Holders can then sell for close to $1 a share straight away, during the challenge window. If the bid falls back or the proposal is challenged, the desk stops and holds its shares for the official result.
Payouts on settled markets are paid at up to $100,000 or half the float an hour, whichever is more. A bigger payout is paid in part at once and the rest an hour later at the same price; nothing is refused. This brake applies to settled markets only.
A coin is only as good as its outcome. If you hold a coin when its outcome loses, you lose what you paid for its backing. Sell before resolution if you do not want to carry that risk. See Safety and risks.
